Ready-mixed concrete is made up of several components including cement, water, aggregates and admixtures. All of these materials are combined through a batching process which initiates a chemical reaction that begins the transformation of the product from a plastic to a solid state. The shelf life of ready-mixed concrete starts with the chemical reaction between cement and water, which begins once those materials are combined in a ready-mixed concrete truck. Our ready-mixed concrete is batched by utilizing fully-automated, computerized, state and National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA) certified batch plants. This process, combined with our mixes being designed in accordance with industry specifications and standards as published by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), and our Batch Plant Operators being certified by the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) and the American Concrete Institute (ACI), minimizes the inconsistencies that other methods may produce. Ready-mixed concrete is an extremely versatile product which opens up a vast array of possibilities for its use in Commercial, Residential, and Home Improvement projects. Regardless of the type of project, DuBROOK Concrete, Inc. is committed to providing the highest quality concrete.
